Senior Telemetry Technician – Medsurg Telemetry

Responsible for the observation of cardiac/hemodynamic monitors and patient activity on a video monitor if applicable. Reports any unusual activity to nurse or charge nurse. Documents according to unit policy.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Successful completion of cardiac dysrhythmia course or monitor technician course or equivalent educ/experience

• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

• 4 years experience as a Telemetry Technician

Preferred Qualifications:

• Upon hire: Monitor Tech Certification

• 1 year of recent ECG monitoring experience with the ability to manage a patient load of less than 35 patients on monitors.

• Previous experience using electronic medical record
