Join our growing Medical Assistant Apprentice Program

Our Medical Assistant (MA) Apprentice Program is a unique, full-time, paid (with benefits) opportunity that provides an excellent foundation for a variety of health care roles and specialties. Over the ~13-month program, participants gain on-the-job work experience, classroom education and clinical training that prepares them to take the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) test through the National Healthcareer Association. It is approved as an equivalent to an MA-C program at a community or technical college.

After completing our program and obtaining your certification, you can join Providence Medical Group as a Certified Medical Assistant. How it works

The program includes 2,000 hours (equivalent to full-time employment for about 12-13 months) of on-the-job training with the support and guidance of your one-on-one MA coach. On your own time, you’ll also complete 420 hours of supplemental online coursework (unpaid) and attend three in-person lab days (unpaid) where an expert instructor will review the technical skills you have been learning, answer questions and help with technique, and ultimately sign-off on your mastery of required skills.
