We are seeking a OB Concierge who will be under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, Women's Health, the OB concierge ensures patients receive a superior hospital experience in a first-class environment. The Concierge serves all patients in the OB Department and any other Health Center area acting as a direct liaison between patients, families, physicians, staff, while maintaining a professional, dignified, high end atmosphere throughout the health center.

In this position you will:

  • Ensure patients receive a superior hospital experience.

  • Acts as direct liaison between patients, families, and physicians.

  • Help maintain the health center’s mission and goals of patient satisfaction and treat every patient with the respect and compassion they deserve.

  • Ensure the suites are in immaculate order prior to the patient’s admission and during their hospital stay.

  • Coordinate with the Environmental Services department and Engineering as needed for maintaining the condition of the unit at a high standard.

  • Develop a warm, caring relationship with the patient, patient’s families, and visitors.

  • Attend to patient’s call lights.

  • Assist throughout the discharge process for each patient, including coordination with social workers, doctors, nursing staff, medical supply, case management, and valet.

  • Transport all patients to vehicles, OB, and overflow, when they are all discharged to home.

  • Manage inventory related to the OB suites, including but not limited to stocking mini-fridge, fresh bed linens, special food requests, clean patient environment, fresh fruit baskets, and flowers upon arrival.

  • Maintain stock of marketing items for the unit.

  • Collaborate with various departments to serve the patient’s needs, including but not limited to Dietary Services, Environmental Services, Security, Parking, and Engineering.

  • Help to answer questions from guests and patients and responds to their needs, both anticipated and unanticipated.

  • Promote, establish, and maintain meaningful relationships with various health center departments.

  • Provide assistance to visitors and patients who need help with way finding both inside and outside of health center.

  • Maintain records, reports, and other visitor statistics according to procedures.

  • Demonstrate responsibility and accountability for own professional practice in regard to:

  • Attendance, punctuality, and patient confidentiality.

  • Positive public relation image and working relationships.

  • Completing all mandatory requirements, including annual safety programs, infection control, and annual physical.

  • Comply with the Health Centers and department standards, including but not limited to safety, infection prevention, quality management, environmental, confidentiality, and patient care.

  • Participate in the development and attainment of team, department, and the Health Center’s goals including:

  • Attending and participating in department meetings.

  • Volunteering of accepting assignments for projects.

  • Mission, vision, and team ground rules.

  • Assess and share patient and visitor feedback to provide appropriate recommendations to proper departments for best practice.

  • All other duties as assigned under the direct supervision of a licensed clinician.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred qualifications for this position

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • One (1) year healthcare experience working with physicians in a clinic or hospital setting.

  • Ability to understand medical terminology and procedures in a hospital environment
