Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our growing team located in Richland, Washington!

Shift Details: Full-Time, 1.0, 40 hour week, Day shift

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational institution.

  • Current WA State Physical Therapy Assistant Licensure required.

  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required.

  • School clinical experience/rotation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a hospital setting.

  • Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

As a Physical Therapy Assistant you will perform physical therapy treatments, provides exercise instructions and demonstrations for patients and does related work as assigned within the scope of Washington Administrative Code.

  • Demonstrate and sustain compliance with Kadlec Caregiver Expectations Standard of Excellence and Code of Conduct.

  • Administer physical therapy treatments on patients under the direction of the patient’s assigned physical therapist within the scope of service.

  • Provide exercise instruction and demonstration as designated in the therapist’s care plan.

  • Assess the needs of the patient; makes appropriate suggestions to the therapist regarding changes in short and long term goals.

  • Consult with the therapists to select appropriate exercises, modalities, or a combination thereof to achieve goals as outlined by the therapist.

  • Document progress in the patient’s chart according to department procedures.

  • Instruct, assist or supervise the patient in appropriate treatment plan.

  • Provide age appropriate care.

  • Promote teamwork, with an emphasis on timely and understandable communication of patient care information to the patient and between care providers across the continuum of care.

  • Participate in the department’s quality program competencies and program development.
