Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Laboratory Technician AA to join our growing Clinical Lab team in Richland, Washington!

Shift Details: Full time, 1.0, Evening Shift
Associate's DegreeChemical, physical or biological science from an accredited educational institution
Completion of an internship as part of the Certification requirement
Current Certification as a Medical Lab Technician (MLT) by NCA, ASCLS, AAB, NAACLS, ASCP or HHS required or certification eligible
Medical Laboratory experience
Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
As a Medical Laboratory Technician AA you will perform a a variety of medical laboratory tests to provide data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases, follows established standards and practices and performs related duties as assigned.
Demonstrate and sustain compliance with Kadlec Caregiver Expectations Standard of Excellence and Code of Conduct
Analyze patient specimens by performing routine and special diagnostic medical laboratory tests and verifies results following department protocols
Perform and report quality control on all instrumentation before reporting test results following established quality control policies and procedures
Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of instruments and equipment and documents appropriately
Verify all normal and abnormal results, correlates abnormal test results with other patient data, seeks pathologist or supervisor consultation if necessary, and notifies appropriate medical staff of test results
Identify patient blood specimens and performs manual test for blood banking procedures following department protocol
Monitor and stock laboratory supplies; notifies supervisor when supplies are needed
Follow established procedures in reporting for Critical Values Call List
Assist in updating or writing laboratory test procedures
Operate a variety of automated and non-automated medical diagnostic instrumentation and equipment
Participate in the Laboratory’s Quality Assurance Program
