Providence is calling Cleaning Attendants to Providence Medford Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. These are full-time 40 hour a week positions. We have day, evening and night shifts available. Shifts are aligned to a rotating schedule and require weekend and holiday availability. These p ositions start at $15.27 per hour and include a full benefits package.

We are seeking a Housekeeping Attendant that coordinates work performed by evening shift personnel, assists in training of all new personnel, inspects all equipment for needed repairs. Evaluates work performance of evening shift personnel and communicates these findings to Supervisor and Director. Communicates with evening nursing supervisor for prioritization and coordination. Provides coverage for the Supervisor on the day shift, as the need arises.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Coordinate work performed by EVS personnel:

  • Coordinate with Environmental Services Supervisor in scheduling project work for evening shift

  • At times, will be required to perform designated tasks as assigned by Supervisor

  • Assist with, and is also in charge of special functions, e.g., suppers, parties, decorating, etc., that occurs on the evening shift

  • Supervise assigned personnel:

  • Assist in the training of all personnel

  • Do quality control inspections of completed work done by EVS personnel

  • Inspect equipment used to determine needs for new parts, repairs and for cleanliness before and after use

  • Assist in the research of new products and equipment

  • Keep the Supervisor and Director apprised of the work performance of personnel and makes recommendations of actions to be taken

  • Work well with, and in the presence of, others:

  • Has a positive and cooperative outlook towards his/her position, the hospital, and fellow employees

  • Serve as a role model for others, including the proper use of sick time, adherence to dress code and behavior consistent with position

  • Relate well with hospital staff, medical staff and visitors

Qualifications:

Required qualification for this position include:

  • Two (2) years of Hospital or equivalent hospital experience

Preferred qualification for this position include:

  • Experience in floor care
