Swedish Health Services School Based Counselor LICSW - Issaquah in Issaquah, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Social Worker - LCSW (0.8 FTE, Day SHIFT) to Swedish Issaquah in Issaquah, WA.
*This role would be a temporary assignment, only lasting through the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year.
The Issaquah High Schools Teen Counselor LCSW is responsible for providing case coordination and a full range of clinical social work services including but not limited to psychosocial assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic interventions, crisis intervention and resource referral, within a high school setting. The Teen Counselor partners with the adolescent and when appropriate, his/her support system as well as connecting him/her with resources inside the school system and in the community. The social worker is guided by the NASW Code of Ethics and the Swedish Mission, Vision and Values in his or her daily practice
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
• Assume daily caseload at their Issaquah High School campus.
• Participate in school based activities with partner organizations such as Public Health – King County, Issaquah Public Schools, etc.
• Develop an individualized treatment plan for the student.
• Effectively assess, diagnos and counsel clinic patients, providing culturally relevant treatment, crisis intervention and/or transition services to treatment elsewhere.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to use crisis intervention techniques, pregnancy and birth options, and to address issues including grief, stress, parenting, coping skills, problem solving, abuse/neglect, chemical dependency and domestic violence services.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited school required
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with the Washington State Department of Health under Chapter 18.225 RCW required.
Excellent clinical experience and ability to manage clients in crisis.

1 year Social work/counseling with adolescent populations.
