Providence is calling a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) (Medical/Surgical, Variables, 0.0 FTE, On-call/Supplemental) to Providence St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chewelah, Washington. In this position you will:
Demonstrate proficiency in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and can perform independently
Take and record vital signs
Assist client or resident with bathing, oral care and skin care
Assist client or resident with grooming and dressing
Address individual behavioral needs of the client or resident
Know the developmental tasks associated with the developmental and age specific processes
Use technique for addressing the unique needs and behaviors of individuals with cognitive impairment including Alzheimer’s, dementia, delirium, developmental disabilities, mental illnesses and other conditions
Demonstrate knowledge and skill in using assistive devices in ambulation, transferring, eating, and dressing
Demonstrate knowledge and skill in the maintenance of range of motion
Required qualifications for this position include:
Completed an approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course OR enrolled in an approved course and perform skills successfully checked off in the clinical setting by the course instructor
Registered (NAR) or certified (NAC) in Washington State.
An NAR can only work for 120 days before a certification (NAC) must be obtained.
Verification of license yearly.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 1 year of CNA experience
