Providence Health & Services Revenue Cycle Senior Program Manager in California
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Revenue Cycle Senior Program Manager based out of our location in Portland, OR. We are open to cnadidates in the Providence footprint of AK, WA, OR, CA, TX, and MT.
We are seeking a Revenue Cycle Senior Program Manager to be responsible for the initiation and development of key projects and programs aligned with the strategic and budgetary goals of Revenue Cycle. The Sr. Program Manager works with business owners to support determining goals, time frame, financial models, funding, procedures for accomplishing project goals and allotment of resources for development and submission to Revenue Cycle governance. The Sr. Program Manager will compile and/or validate assumptions, risks, business requirements and interdependencies in preparation for delivery of transformational projects. The Sr. Program Manager will serve as a gatekeeper of the Revenue Cycle strategic roadmap and portfolios. The position will require strong communication skills, project management acumen, strategic planning ability, and strong relationship skills to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Develop, plan, and manage a program of high priority work initiatives within Revenue Cycle including strategic projects that are cross functional and/or enterprise wide.
Perform business area account management as well as project management of the high priority work initiatives documented in a road map.
Provide advice to Revenue Cycle leaders and business owners in the identification of business needs, prioritization of projects/initiatives, development of the roadmap, completion of cost benefit analysis, and submission of proposals to RC Strategic Governance.
Manage and implement project(s) on time and within budget:
Supervise all phases delivery including: initiating, planning, executing, performance monitoring, and closing a project.
Track and report on schedules, budget, and metrics.
Manage all aspects of a project to ensure that deliverables are fulfilled.
Provide coordination, communication, and structure.
Prepare detailed work plans.
Negotiate for required resources including budget and staff.
Assign tasks to team members.
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Reconcile and report discrepancies in budget and schedule.
Document initiative successes.
Assign responsibilities where appropriate and report regularly on status updates.
Hold project initiation, status, and closure meetings.
Exceed program management delivery expectations by utilizing Project Management Professional prinicples and methodologies.
Communicate with customers and supervisors regarding prioritization and target completion dates based on business need or impact.
Manage virtual project teams in carrying out projects.
Identify, document, and monitor metrics for program performance.
Provide regular status and management reports. Prepare presentations on program status and notify stakeholders of changes to timelines and resources.
Identify, document, resolve, and escalate major issues. Communicate risks and project deadline changes as appropriate. Perform data analysis on complex issues to assist business owners in the evaluation of potential solutions. Develop and maintain relationships with Ministry leadership and Revenue Cycle management to help facilitate issue resolution.
Represent Revenue Cycle to other regions, areas of the organization, vendors, and companies outside of Providence St. Joseph.
Use a solid understanding of change management principals to assist business owners with implementing new processes.
Assess training needs of staff and customers.
Ensure all interactions reflect servant leadership and are customer focused.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration or equivalent education/experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate upon hire or equivalent education/experience.
A minimum of seven (7) years' experience in managing programs of high priority business initiatives including managing multiple projects to achieve identified project portfolio objectives.
A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a healthcare organization.
CAP or other change management certification or training.
Project Management Professional.
A track record in developing and implementing business process improvement initiatives.
Demonstrated experience with project management methodologies and software.
Track record in managing multiple business projects to successful completion including: scoping, scheduling, budgeting, status management and reporting.
Track record in taking initiative, working with minimal supervision and being self directed and highly motivated in all work activities.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Coursework/Training in Lean, CAP, Six Sigma.
Lean or Six Sigma certification or training.
A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Revenue Cycle.
