We are looking for a Document Imaging Technician for the SJuHMG Medical Record Department at St. Joseph Heritage Healthcare.
Location: Brea, CA
Work Schedule: Full Time - 80 Biweekly Hours
Shift: 8-hour, Days
Working under the Director, Business Applications & Analytics, this position is responsible for scanning all HCFA/UB04 claims, Health Plan generated claims, Coalition America correspondence, Denial Letters, Contract Summaries, Provider Research Resolution claims, Coordination of Benefits letters, on a daily basis. Auditing scanned claims for legibility, correct format, and ensure attachments are linked to the correct job type. Input all scanned batches into the Inventory Control database for reporting, tracking, and inventory management to ensure compliance within AB1455 and departmental policy and procedures.
Responsible for accurately setting the scanner imprinter to the SJHH correct receipt date for all HCFA/UB04 claims forms, Health Plan generated claims and scanning within 2 business days of receipt.
Responsible for accurately setting the scanner imprinter to the SJHH correct receipt date for all, Coalition America correspondence, Denial letters, Contract Summaries, Provider Dispute Resolution claims, and Coordination of Benefits and scanning within 5 business days of receipt.
Performs daily quality control and audits of all original scanned images daily to ensure images are legible, formatted, and linked correctly to the corresponding HCFA/UB04 claim forms.
Reconcile the number of HCFA/UB04 claim forms from the batch cover sheet to the count of claim images on the Teleform software and input the scanned batch number produced by Teleform into the Inventory Control Database for tracking and reporting after the batches have been scanned.
Prepare all original scanned images in boxes and label for storage and retrieval.
Familiar with the Microsoft windows operating environment, including Access and MS Word.
Communicate via e-mail operating environment.
Possess basic analytical and problem solving skills.
Requires good written and verbal communications skills to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Ability to work under minimal supervision.
Possess organizational and prioritization skills.
Ability to accept assignments from Claims Management.
Minimum Position Requirements:
Education: H.S. Diploma or GED
Experience: Six (6) months General clerical experience within an office environment
Preferred Position Qualifications:
One (1) year General clerical experience within an office environment
Ten (10) keys experience.
One (1) year Document scanning within a medical group or Health Plan.
