We are looking for Risk Management Analyst -E with $1,000 Sign-On Bonus for the Pophealth Management Department at St. Joseph Heritage Healthcare.

Work Schedule: Full time - 80 Biweekly Hours

Shift: 8-hour, Days

Job Summary:

Responsible for ongoing administration of Risk application software, currently Datix or similar system. Familiar with all aspects of the application and related modules and will operate administrative functions for the application. Develops and distributes data/reports and decision making tools used throughout the organization. Coordinates with end users and project stakeholders to continue to make enhancements to the application. Manages the day to day operations of the application including maintenance of active reports. Seeks to streamline and create efficiencies within the application through the use of process improvement methodologies. Expected to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills via participation in work groups with all levels of staff.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains and manages comprehensive risk management database(s) which reflects the scope and breathe of the organization's patient care services. Produces timely reports of progress toward performance measures through dashboard and more detailed reports that are accessible to staff. Preparing of reports which demonstrate event trends. Coordinates the documents for the weekly risk management team, by pulling data from the event reporting systems, which may require investigation and abstracting pertinent information from patient medical records. Assists the Risk director and coordinator in identifying "risk events". Assists in supporting electronic policy and procedure database.

  • Develops and continues to improve the process and report design for providing quarterly reports of harm events data to department managers. Facilitates internal/external request for information as approved by Risk Work with Quality Department to improve process/regulatory compliance through metric associated with EHR documentation Director. Gathers information and data for the annual insurance application and exposure statistics.

  • Acts as a resource regarding all aspects of department application, performing job functions in a timely and efficiently manner:

  • Works in a safe manner, adhering to general safety precautions and standards. Reports any unsafe conditions to their supervisor and/or the safety hotline.

  • Develops and distributes data/reports and decision making tools used throughout the organization.

  • Coordinates with end users and project stakeholders to continue to make enhancements to the application.

  • Will manage the day to day operations of the application including maintenance of active reports; responsible for various monthly reports and other special projects.

  • Seeks to streamline and create efficiencies within the application through the use of process improvement methodologies.

  • Expected to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills via participation in work groups with all levels of staff.

  • Assists in the development and maintenance of risk/safety related applications.

  • Supports Risk Management Privacy Compliance Officer Director for Providence Medical Foundations with variable projects involving insurance, claim management and Loss prevention.

  • Provides day-to-day support for caregivers/management on risk issues as necessary.

  • Works to continuously improve operational performance of department applications to enhance utilization and improve caregiver satisfaction.

Skills:

  • Must be proficient in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Viso, and Datix or similar system; Access preferred.

  • Must possess project management and problem solving skills.

  • Able to work on a variety of assignments with minimal direction and fluctuating workload.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to set and adjust priorities to meet recurring deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team including users, management and staff.

  • Knowledge of risk management and patient safety preferred.

  • Enrollment in Bachelors program within one year preferred.

Minimum Position Requeirements:

Education: Associate's Degree.

Experience: 1 year Experience with use of database systems and analysis of data.

Preferred Position Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree Healthcare Administration or related field.
